How many graphs in Calc?

Is there a way to generate more than one Chart from the spreadsheet data?

Yes, of course. Select the data to be plotted and insert another one.
Do you really want multiple different charts or do you want multiple but similar charts from multiple data sets?
I find scenarios very handy with charts:
https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/download/file.php?id=43564 has one chart on one visible sheet and you can easily switch the underlying data set. In this example I switch formulas but it works with constant values as well.

Many thanks. Having just moved from OpenOffice I wasn’t aware of scenarios. Demo trig .ods file very useful. I have a bit of learning to do!
And I’m after a range of different charts using different sets of data from within the same sheet.
cheers

With a scenario you can blend different sets of data into the same cell range changing the content of all charts connected to that cell range.
Select the relevant range of data cells, call Tools>Scenarios… and give a name to the current data set.
Options:
You can assign a border color and a comment to the data set.
Copy back: If unchecked, you can modify the data set but when you switch back to another one the changes won’t be stored. This way you may store an unmodifyable default set or an empty one.
Copy entire sheet: Could be useful if the size of your data set is very big or varying.
Prevent changes: Applies only if the sheet is protected (similar to protected cells).

Existing scenarios can be edited (and deleted) in the navigator window.
