How to access the Tabbed toolbar with the keyboard

Menu View - User Interface - Tabbed enables the tabbed toolbar.

The leftmost button in the new toolbar allows you to hide the menu, giving you more screen for your documents. But then Alt, F, S (to save) will not work.

So it seems that the tabbed toolbar is there to be used with the mouse or touchscreen. But what to do in an emergency?

You can access the Tabbed toolbar (added at version 6.2) by pressing F6, then can:

• move one tab to the left with Ctrl+Tab or
• move one tab to the right with Ctrl+Shift+Tab
• switch through the buttons with Tab or Shift+Tab
• press Enter to accept

So, instead of Alt, F, S in the stardard toolbar (or Ctrl+S), you need to press:

• F6
• Ctrl+Shift+Tab¹
• Tab ×6, and finally
• Enter Then take a breath and keep editing.

A shorter option is to press:

• F6
• Ctrl+Shift+Tab¹
• Alt+F (I still don’t know what that rightmost part of the tabbed toolbar is called)
• Enter
• S

¹ While in the same document LibreOffice remembers the tab selected; so next time no need to Ctrl+Shift+Tab.

Tested with LibreOffice 6.4.7.2 (x86); OS: Windows 6.1.
