How to block image on background so that it stays put when exporting as epub

Hi,

I’m trying for the first time to format a novel with LibreOffice. I have an image that goes on the background of every chapter title, but when I export it as an epub the image is not places as in the original document but both image and chapter title are separated.
I tried anchoring the image both to Paraghaph and to Character but it does not change. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you so much in advance!

(Edit: I attatched the images to make it more clear what I meant)

As far as I can tell, EPUB is based on XHTML and CSS. So the problem boils down to converting from styles and formatting directives on Writer side to CC on EPUB side. Could you attach a 1-page .odt sample with your chapter heading and a single paragraph, plus the corresponding EPUB?

It is likely that EPUB is not accepted as a valid attachment format. In this case, cheat a bit: add an extra .pdf extension to to xxx.epub file name to turn it into xxx.epub.pdf.

PS: mention your OS name and exact LO version.

Here’s the page test, had to zip the epub or it wouldn’t let me upload. I also have Windows 11 on my pc, but I don’t know what the LO is sorry (I feel like a complete newbie).
