You can find the setting under Format > Character … > Position > Spacing.
And it is highly recommended to record your spacing setting in a character style so that you can apply it to other words with simply a double click. Another advantage is you can tune the spacing simultaneously for all highlighted words from the character style.
In that character style you might also want to modify the font name by appending :liga=0 to avoid ligatures spoiling the appearance, eg b e n e fi t
