How to change default Title to file name?

I want the default title of my Writer doc to automatically be the current file name when I save or create a pdf. Currently it defaults to the template name, which is bogus when viewing the pdf.

I see how to do this individually manually; I want to change the automatic default behavior.

Thanks.

Remove the Title in the template.
Choose menu File - Properties… - Description tab - Title.

Aha. That indeed works, at least for what I was concerned about. Thanks!

It still leaves the Title blank in the PDF, but at least the pdf viewers then use the file name for window head.

I knew I could change the Title in that field in Writer, but it didn’t occur to me that leaving it blank (in the template) would have the desired effect, or more accurately, side-effect.
