how to change LibreOffice Base default column width in designer?

Hi,

I’m a first time user of Base and just wondered that I cannot auto-resize the columns in table designer by double-clicking on the divider (like the same in Calc), nor my changes saved for specific tables, nor a setting for change the default width of them can be found, while the default column width is so small to fit half of my field names’ length.

Using version 4.4.2.2 on Ubuntu 15.04

It’s a very annoying behavior for me and I’m very glad if someone nice people could be help me.
