How to change text shadow color in Writer

I used to use Microsoft Word for my storywriting, but I recently switched over to LibreOffice. However, one thing I noticed is that LibreOffice Writer doesn’t seem to let me change text shadow colors, so when I open my old .docx files the colored text shadows disappear.

If I want to give my text a different shadow color - for example, using pink text and green text shadows - how would I go about doing that?

The nearest I can find is that in Draw, you can specify a shadow colour and offset for a Text Box and the text inside will all have the defined shadow. For a very limited amount of text it might be workable.

So I would need to repeatedly switch between Draw and Writer to work on my manuscript? That seems a bit circuitous…

EarnestAl’s comment means (for me):
Do not use colorized text shadow and .docx file format with the LibreOffice Writer.
Use the native international standard .ODF (.odt) file format.

I don’t understand, what good would it do for me to switch text file formats from .docx to .odt?

Then you will use the EXISTING features only.
And always is the best way to use the native file format of an editor software.
The colorized shadow is not an existing feature in the LO Writer.

It would need to use Text boxes so not a solution for anything long, complex or requiring styles. A short story book with limited text for young children might be achievable.

If the coloured shadow is created with a few words in Draw, then the text box can be copied and text added to in Writer. The coloured shadow will be extended to the newly added text.

Such a text box could be added to Autotext. You need to select the paragraph the anchor is in to the beginning of the next paragraph then click Tools > AutoText, give it a name like GreenShadow with a shortcut of GS or something. Select MyAutoText then click AutoText > New
