How to combine curves without closing them?

In LibreOffice Draw v7.3, to draw a complicated shape, I’ll draw separate Bezier curves and then join them by selecting all the separate curves > Shape > Convert > To Polygon (else the lines get distorted) and then Shape > Combine. However LibreOffice Draw closes and fills the curves.

How do I combine Bezier curves so that LibreOffice Draw doesn’t close and fill each one?

Have you tried Form>Connect?

Shape > Connect, it works, thank you. I didn’t see that option.
