I have a bunch of out of date cross-references that I can’t seem to delete.
I want to get rid of Conclusion & Recommendation, but the delete option is grayed out. I can’t figure out why I can’t delete these.
May be some of them are in use in the document ?.
- You can search for them / delete with the naviagator. Then delete y the Fields dialog.
Your screenshot does not show cross-references. It lists the Variables and you have highlighted a special kind of variable called a Number range, i.e. an auto-incremented counter usually used in captions. You should look for such occurrences. The side Navigator is your friend.
I confirm that any active use of the variable grays out the delete button. Consequently, track occurrences with the Navigatorr, section Fields.
I would have thought so, too. But I can’t find anything in the Navigator that indicates these are still in use.
“Concl” is in use, and I’m able to delete that if I choose, but I can’t delete any of the others.
