How to edit cell link to other file so that when date is change cell value is change as pe that date file

i am new to spread sheet
i have use cell link to another file cell as‘file:///xyz_(date)’#$xyz_date.A1. and table goes on
i want to edit date in that link so that when date is change cell value changes according to that date, sheet name is same as file name which makes confusion while renaming as i have to compair 5 files data,
tried open option ,copy and past whole table and while using navigator it creates sheet name same as file which becomes confusing after 3 days when renaming sheets
