How to fill calc table

I have this FV table, if I drag right the formula in C2 should be =(1+C1)^A2 but it will be =(1+C1)^B2 similarly down should be =(1+B1)^A3 but is =(1+B2)^A3

Is there a quick way to fill out this FV table (or others like it)?

Start with:

=(1+B$1)^$A2
