How to Find and Replace Number Styles

I have a number of Safety Manual sub docs that I need to update with a new style. Here’s the link to the document I’m working on: Fatigue 11-9-22.odt - Google Drive

I want to replace the Style: “H&S Numbering - One Level” to “H&S Numbering”.

I see in the Search & Replace function that I can do this with Paragraph Styles, but I don’t see this ability for Number Styles.

I believe I have seen this questions raised before and the answer was that LO does not have this function. But I wanted to double check. It would sure save me a lot of time. I created some little keyboard macros to do it, but it’s one set at a time, and I have 37 documents to go through, 433 pages.

Always very thankful for the great help I have been receiving from the LO Ask members.

I am not sure if you only want to rename the list style or to replace it (I could not find H&S Numbering). For searching list styles AltSearch.oxt is recommended. See attached screenshot. AltSearch.oxt (here: Geman UI) found and selected 151 items of H&S Numbering - One Level.

Cheers and godspeed.

This possibility doesn’t exist in LO. Follow @Grantler’s suggestion of an extension.

To quickly locate (manually) the uses of a list style, add a character style to its numbering with a distinctive colour, e.g. red. This will colour the numbers.
