How to fix zoom problem?

Two problems with zoom:
(1) Document will arbitrarily zoom while I’m working on it. I have no idea what is causing this.
(2) Ctrl+mouse scroll does not have any zoom effect. This means I have to use more distracting and cumbersome methods to get the document back to normal size.

1. The default for LibreOffice is Ctrl+Shift+PgUp is Zoom in; Ctrl+Shift+PgDn is zoom out.
   These shortcuts can be removed in Tools > Customise > Keyboard, search on zoom, set the option button to LibreOffice and click on zoom in and delete the shortcut, repeat for zoom out.
   Look for any zoom shortcuts in LibreOffice and in Writer that might have been added by somebody
2. Ctrl+Scroll works on my operating system.

Check if the Ctrl key isn’t sticking or if you have Sticky Keys set (Windows).
