how to greate a managed file system in libre office

I have typed a letter in libre office and want to create a folder in documnents for personal work and then place it in anoter file named family domestic. How do I do it.?

You do this with your file navigator. Which is your OS?

Manipulating files (and folders) is one of the basic tasks with a computer. Are you familiar with it? If no, I recommend you meet with the numerous “computer hobby clubs” present nearly everywhere from small villages to megalopolises. They will help you demystify your computer.

Once you have created your folder structure, saving into one of them from Writer is a matter of navigating between them with the “commands” (in fact buttons and double-clicks) of the Save dialog.

PS: when asking here, always mention your OS name (as requested above) and the exact LO release (like 26.2.5.2).

Can that help?

Typically of much Libre advise. Full of high sounding mumbo jumbo that says nothing. Cant you understand some people need very basic tuition and not explanations that require a degree. Perhaps they are concerned at loosing their superiority.

That is not very constructive!
If there is anything in what is being offered to you that you don’t understand, you can ask.
Is it specific terms or a process?

I’m out.

Very funny.

Yes, I recommend to take a course how to handle/use a/your computer. Take a course, where somebody can see what you do and can (maybe) help you.
.
Can’t you understand giving precise instructions needs some informations from your side first. While the concept is similiar details vary from WindowsXP/7/8/10 to MacOS or Linux with Gnome, XFCE, KDE, Phantheon etc.
The link @Hrbrgr gave is a good starting point, as we know next to nothing about you/your computer. (Very basic tuition: Click with your mouse on the text “file management”, wait a bit and start reading…)

Lets assume “documents” is a folder on your computer andvyou can find it. Open the folder (number of clicks and speed may vary).
If you have more than one button on your mouse click with the right button inside the documents folder on empty space. If you are lucke a context-menu appears and will offer to create something New. There may be a sub-menu to create a folder.
.
As next step you can click on the created folder (also right button) and check if an option to rename the folder is available and try to change the name to “personal work”.
.
I can’t help with the second part, as what “it” you want to place in another file. (You cant put folders in files and I don’t know why you would place your letter in another file).
.
Above stuff may fail completly on computers with only one mouse button or if configured for left-hand use. Good luck.

your easy procedere is:
Save as… –> new folder “family” → new folder “family documents”, that have to be in your user-folder “daveg2”.
