How to load separate icons to start bar

I an a brand new user and have arrived here because i have reached the limit of my MS Office licence.
In Office each app has a separate, distinct icon, for spreadsheets and docs. I only use these 2 so need to be able to extract them from the main app.
How can i achieve this?

OK I have discovered how to do it. I opened a doc and right click to pin to task bar. Same with Calc. So both are pinned to the task bar now.
I shall proceed and see how things work out.
