How to Make a Custom Paper Size in LO Match the Printed Paper Size?

I am having trouble printing on paper that is half the size of letter. (5.5" x 8.5")

I set the page size and margin in Format/Page Style… The document looks good in LO, proportional, etc. until it is printed. I cannot choose a paper size of 5.5" x 8.5" when I print the document. The closest paper size selection is 5.0" x 8.0" which changes the margins on the final printout.

Suggestions are appreciated.

Yes it was helpful. Thank you.

I think I am discovering that even if you create a new paper size (form) in Windows 10/11, it still depends on the capability of the printer and driver. Creating your document in LO for a paper size (i.e., 5.5" x 8.5") does not mean the printer will print specifically to that size or paper. One printer of mine can be set up to an A5 size (5.85" x 8.27"). Using 5.5" x 8.5" paper (which a half-sheet of Letter size), if you make the LO document margin larger by about 1/4", the side that coincides with the leading edge that feeds into the printer, the pages seem to print OK.

Why there is not a standard size of 5.5" x 8.5" (half of a sheet of Letter sized paper) is beyond me. A5 is half of a sheet of A4.
