Where do I find the different citation styles in the libre office controls? Or do you have to enter them in manually? I am looking for chicago style, microsoft office has these formats preloaded and I was looking for the same in libre.
Citations in LibreOffice are managed under Bibliographies. You will find that Chapter 12 of the LibO Writer Guide gives extensive help in this area. There are also a number of useful questions in ask.libreoffice.org tagged with bibliography. LibO follows the predefined citation entries styled by “The Modern Language Association”, but of course you can modify these entries. There are a number of entry types already predefined some of which will be similar to Microsoft Chicago Style.
The entries for bibliography can be found under INSERT > INDEXES AND TABLES > BIBLIOGRAPHY ENTRY. The entries can either be held in the document concerned or held in a separate data base… Peter
