I want to print onto a business check in Writer. I have set up the form somewhat, but cannot get the printer to print it. The size of the check is 8.2’ wide and 3.0" high.
I tried to change the paper size but it keeps changing it from landscape to portrait when I put in the paper size.
I tried using an envelope setup, but that did not work either because my User Defined page then did the same, and did not let me change the size.
I tried using a standard #9 envelope setting, and just setting the margins differently, but then the printer would not print it.
I attempted to change the Brother printer paper size to match the #9 envelope, but that did not work either.

You should assume that the envelope (or your check form) **must be entered in portrait mode**.
This is because otherwise (Landscape) the paper would not be enough to run through the printer correctly because it is too short.
