how do we turn off document recovery on opening - where it often hangs?
No other option than ok visible?

This has been a really annoying part of the UI for 10+ YEARS: LibreOffice always shows recovery process at startup due to failing recovery items - Ask Ubuntu
Whenever the app is opened it prompts to recover previous documents. Click “Discard” and then it prompts for confirmation “Are you sure”.
A much better workflow would be to allow the user to open the document they want to look at, and to show a passive notification indicator / button in the UI where a user could go inspect any previous documents that need to be “recovered”.
For some reason on my system, it ALWAYS prompts to recover documents, even if I think I was just viewing them and not editing them.
