How to type shift+2="

Glory to god in the highest!
Glory to God!
Somehow I cannot type: "
Whenever I try, this happens: «
If I push shift+2 more than once, like ex. 4 times in a row this is the result: «»»»
It is quite irritating, and I did use some time on duckduckgo trying to find a solution, also I tried to see here in the forum.
In the forum I found a question engaging some of the same problem and there it ws mentioned tools-customize-keyboard, which I did look into without mangaing to rectify this problem.

This is what I found about my Libreoffice, which feels more like forcedoffice…

Jesus is Christ come in flesh.

Ye olde Dutch typewriter had the " character on the 2 key, so maybe you selected the Dutch keyboard in the localization settings, with autocorrect on to turn whatever into «».

Thank you. Good information. Иисуса

This is a part of the autocorrection feature which, to many users’ annoyance, is switched on by default.

  • See menu item Tools - Autocorrect > - Autocorrect options ...
  • Select tab Localized options.
  • Untick options to replace single and double quotation marks.

Or you could replace those “typographical quotes” so " is “replaced” by " in quote start and end.
  • OK

Your faith has saved you.

Thank you Sir.
I tested your solutions, both function.
I will turn off autocorrect.
I like manual control.

Thanks again.
