How to undelete footer

I inadvertently removed my footer contents. Is there a way to undelete or undo what I did?

If you closed your document, no luck!

In case your session is still opened, have you tried Edit>Undo or Ctrl+Z?

PS: when asking a question here, always mention OS name, LO version and save format.

Edit>Undo

@johnofsedona: Before Undo, save a copy of the actual document for not to loose the last edits. After you recover your footer, you can copy and paste from there.
Sometimes, it’s enough to copy the last edit, and paste from the clipboard after the footer was recovered.
