How to use search & replace to remove a few/all images in Writer?

I want to remove a few/all images in Writer. How can I do that? in word I can search for ^g and replace with nothing. NOTE: this question was asked in 2017 but I still can’t find an answer or solution.

Don’t search. Instead open the Navigator with Ctrl+F5 and click on the “Compass” icon to display “object” contents of the document.

The Images category lists all images either in document order or alphabetical order on their names. The latter is particularly useful if you cared to give them a meaningful name to replace the default Image123 name.

You navigate to the image with a double-click on the name or click + Enter. After you made sure this is the correct image, delete it with Del. You can also delete without navigating with right-click on name and Delete from the contextual menu but without visual check you may delete the wrong image
