Howto disable block style cursor?

How do you get rid of a block style inline cursor (similar to the one in linux terminal) and get back to regular vertical line?

I’ve installed LibreOffice on a neighbor’s PC (running Windows 10)and after a couple of days he reported that he did something that changed it to the block somehow. Asked me for help but after checking options and menus I have no clue how he did that .

Hi

Does it not simply go into Overtype mode (press the Ins key)?

Regards

Ins was my first thought - sadly that’s not it.

@Przemas

The cursor style depends, in principle, on the operating system. Does the change occur in all software?

It may be that the Insert key has been toggled on in which case you’ll get the block cursor instead of the vertical bar.

Hallo

It sounds like →Edit→Selection Mode →→Block Area

Toogle from|to with shortcut alt+shift+F8
