Hi, how can I create and save an odt document with hyperlinks that can then be maintained correctly on Word in Windows environment? I can see the hyperlinks with the right colors and underlines exported in pdf on Win10 but, saved instead in docx/doc format, they stay in the default writing light-black color of Word in Windows. Saving in odt the colors and underlines of the hyperlinks are no longer noticeable on Word in Win10, but I realized that passing over them with the mouse cursor is still given the option to open the hyperlinks and then clicking on them actually open. Reading various q&a about hyperlinks it seems that there could be an issue of relative/absolute paths but changing them in options - load/save - general with save URL for file system/internet didn’t solve anything, I also tried to change in options - libreoffice - application colors the colors of unvisited/visited links with no result. I use libreoffice 6.4 on ubuntu 20.04 LTS
Basically:
Always create and save your files in LibreOffice and save them in ODF format (ODT, ODS, etc.).
Always keep these files as their source. If you need other formats for distribution to partners, you can open an ODF file and save and distribute another format with ″ Save as… ″.
This way, you always have working files available in your system environment.

Welcome to realm of compatibility between Writer and Word!
When you enter a hyperlink in Writer, it receives an extra character style named Internet Link. While you remain in Writer, appearance of all URL hyperlinks can be changed by customizing Internet Link (and also Visited Internet Link).
Unfortunately, this “decoration” cannot be translated as such in .doc(x) because Word has no notion of character styles. It is then converted to individual direct formatting. It is impossible to change all hyperlink formatting in a single operation in Word.
I assume you convert to Word format for collaborative work (otherwise work with .odt). Try then to alter the aforementioned character styles before the conversion.

Thank you very much for your answer! I didn’t know about the direct formatting conversion in Word. I’m just a newbie with LibreOffice and your assumption is right cause I need to share documents that can be modified with people that only use Word in Windows environment. Thanks to your answer I resolved for both the .docx and .odt files. Docx solution: after normally inserting the hyperlink with URL and text, I keep the selected hyperlink or reselect with the cursor the newly created hyperlink and then directly changing the color in the character color box above. I’ve to do this for every single hyperlink created on all the text, but when I checked in Word on Windows it keeped the new coloring and underlining. ODT solution: I do the same thing for the color but also I’ve to select the underlining box above even if strangely enough it seems already selected after the newly inserted hyperlink. Doing so and the .odt hypelinks work perfectly fine in Word on Windows!
Have you tried to customize the Internet Link character style? This will change all your links in a single step. Format>Manage Styles to display the style side pane. Click on the second icon in the toolbar to list the character styles. Find Internet Link, right-click and Modify. Enjoy!
Thanks again for your tips! With the customization is way more easier! I finally saved all my links in a single step with the .docx files. I tried then the same method with the .odt but it didn’t keep the changed hyperlinks on Word. I changed font, font color, text decoration, effects and highlighting to no avail. Am I missing some other options to get it done properly even with the .odt?
