I cannot seem to define a print range in calc, and I cannot delete an old one

I cannot seem to delete an old print range. I can define a new one on top, but the other remains.

The menu Format>Print Ranges has 4 submenues:

  1. “Define” defines the current selection (cell, range or multiple ranges)
  2. “Add” adds the current selection to the existing one.
  3. “Edit” opens a dialog to edit the range address(es)
  4. “Clear” clears any range(s).

I’m afraid none of that works, so I’m possibly looking at a bug.

You are looking at something that is not reproducible by anybody else.

… so could you please upload your file?
Maybe the forum members will be able to fix it.

I would like to upload the file, but I’m not sure where to do that within this thread??

TEST PIECE 1.xlsx (7.9 KB)

Hopefully you will see the file I am having trouble with. Note that it is converted to xlsx. It still doesn’t work if I convert it back to ODS. Many thanks for looking

So:

  1. Open your file.
  2. Menu Format / Print Ranges / Edit. We see Print Range : - user defined - : $A$1:$F$81.
  3. Menu Format / Print Ranges / Clear.
  4. Menu Format / Print Ranges / Edit. We see Print Range : - entire sheet -.

The same effect if your file is saved in .ods format.

I’m afraid just doing the normal ‘clear’ and ‘edit’ etc doesn’t work. I have tried these things.

Your file properties list the LO version:

LibreOffice/7.4.2.3$MacOSX_X86_64 .

I tested in LibreOffice/7.4.2.3 Win10 version.
Let’s hope someone can check the file in your configuration.
Just in case, check again in safe mode (Menu Help / Restart in Safe Mode).
