One of these files is my passwords. Im beginning to think Libreoffice is a big mistake. I need these files now.
fast
you make a person jump through too many hoops. ive been trying toget help for 2
5 minutes now,
You need to remember and enter your password or passphrase exactly as it was entered to encrypt the file.
I have been using the same password for 12 years to enter these files. Thats not the problem! Libre is telling me the files are corrupted. It wont let me enter my password
So it’s not a password problem but a file corruption problem, you didn’t say that earlier. Best to restore the last known good backup.
when I try to open an encryted file, I get: Wordpad can’t open this document. This document is either corrupt or protected under Rights Management
what is with this answering your own question. Can I get an answer to my problem
Wordpad is not part of LibreOffice and I doubt it can open ODF files (or btw what file format are we talking about anyway? .odt text file or .ods spreadsheet file, or?) but quite certainly not encrypted ones. I may be wrong though.
