Printing was OK until a few days ago. It says select printer, which is already selected. Does recognize selected printer.
FOR EVERYONE POSTING TO THIS Q&A – Please make a note of your operating system (and version number), as well as make and model of your printer, when making your contribution. Printing issues are very much connected with OS, and without that information, the Q&A is not very helpful at all. Thanks.
I have LibreOffice Version: 6.0.5.2 (x64) on Windows 10 Pro ver 1803. My printer is a Funai Kodak Verite 65 plus. Since upgrading LibreOffice I can’t print. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled printer driver. When I send a document to the print queue the queue is empty
I can print from pdf and all other applications, just not LibreOffice. Seem to remember having this problem before after upgrading,
Sorry, should this be a Comment or an Answer?
The HP Printer Error Code 0x83c0000a is a standard error which is faced by many users. If this error is becoming a barrier in your work, then to get relief of this Hp printer error to follow the Hp printer troubleshooting steps and get the issue resolved immediately.
I presume you mean “Does not recognize selected printer”.
Windows 10? Possibly a recent upgrade has messed with your printer. Try uninstalling the printer, get the latest drivers from the printer manufacturer, and reinstall the printer.

No, he means “DOES” recognize. I have the very same problem: printer is listed in LibreOffice. Other programs are able to print on that same printer. It may have been introduced with the 1803 update of windows 10, but it is limited to libre office 6.
It may be limited to version 6.0.4.
@robleyd I think It is not a good behavior to answer “assuming” what a question is for. that will NOT help other people with the same question. Please use comments to ask for clarifications first.
I also have this problem and I don’t have an answer.
Windows 10 version 1803 (64-bit) - clean reinstall
LibreOffice v6.0.4 (x64)
LibreOffice recognises and lists my 2 printers - HP OfficeJet 6500 and OfficeJet Pro 8100, both on a cabled home/office network.
Print dialog box opens with all the settings, but doesn’t send anything to either printer. If I save a document as a PDF and open that in FoxIt PDF Reader, I can print from that program. So the printers work from this computer, but not from LibreOffice v6.0.4.
I have LibreOffice v6.0.3.2 on another PC with exactly the same Widows 10, version 1803, and I can print to the same printers from that. So this seem to be a 6.0.4 issue .
Ok, I have resolved this. Uninstall the printer(s) and reinstall using the manufacturer’s own drivers. HP in my case, and for for both printers it meant using Widows 7 drivers.
The new installation of Windows 10 (version 1803) installs attached printers automatically, but not completely so it seems. They were recognised in Devices and Printers and could be printed to from other programs like FoxIt PDF Reader. And I could do test prints from the settings dialog boxes.
I cannot print from 5.4.7.2 (x64) either. My printer is HP LaserJet Pro MFP M26a.
I am having the same problem. This Computer has had it 4 or 5 months=Libre no problem. Then today it will not print. Everything else works fine Just this program. I also installed the printer at the same time. Got new Drivers etc. I paid my money on the computer that died. So I thought maybe they did something? My Printer is HP Pro 8600
have 100% same issue with Win 10 and LO 6.0.5 - from one day to the other no printing…I see the print data sent and my Officejet even starts to do something…and then it is like forgotten
reinstallation of LO did not help
reinstalling printer from windows system management did not help
edit: uups…this shall NOT be a wiki, sorry
I can print from open office but same document from LO just hangs since about version 6 upwards.after 10 minutes or so a page is printed with an error message number.Open office starts to print immediately and trouble free.my printer has limited memory 16 meg.I tried printing direct to printer not spooling (spooling can increase memory requirement of printer and size of print file) but did not work on LO
Yesterday I upgraded to 6.05 from 6.04 as I wanted the jpg compression for export to pdf. Printer worked fine from LO until then.
I tried printing document 3 times without it appearing in spooler or printer queue. After 10 minutes of checking things I exported it to pdf and printed from Acrobat. I then thought I would have another look at the printing issue so did CTRL+P again and immediately the previous 3 instances started printing. Seems to be communication between LO and Windows driver. Windows 10 Pro 1803, Printer networked HP 8620 with HP driver and software.

I have 6.0.5.2 and also cannot print from writer. Nothing is showing in the print queue. I needed to replace 2 cartridges so opened the Epson SX205 printer management tool from the document as if going to print it and then going to printer status: three times in a row clicking to replace cartridges caused LibreOffice to crash. I finally replaced the cartridges from Win 10 (Settings/Printers/Manage your device). Print commands from LO still had no result so the only solution I have found is to make a PDF version of the file and print from that (which works fine but is a very laborious work-around). I have wasted a huge amount of time with this issue today: important documents not posted, etc. as a result. OS Windows 10 Home version 10.0.17134
When it crashed again today I filed a bug report and was asked to reset my user profile. After doing this no more crashes. I would clearly recommend others try this.
OK, how do you do this?
Just stopped printing one day. Upgraded and it worked. I am using the ‘enthusiast’s’ version.
Original version that stopped printing:
Version: 6.1.2.1 (x64); Build ID: 65905a128db06ba48db947242809d14d3f9a93fe
Installed updated version and it worked again, even without rebooting:
Version: 6.1.4.2 (x64) Build ID: 9d0f32d1f0b509096fd65e0d4bec26ddd1938fd3
OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Home
OS Version: 10.0.17134 N/A Build 17134
Processor(s): 1 Processor(s) Installed. [01]: Intel64 Family 6 Model 142 Stepping 9 GenuineIntel ~2400 Mhz BIOS
Version:Dell Inc. 2.7.1, 9/25/2018
Total Physical Memory: 8,062 MB
Available Physical Memory: 4,567 MB
Printer: HP Laserjet 2300n; HP LaserJet 2300 PCL6 Class Driver
LibreOffice seems to have big problems with printing out content, and not being as stable application as it may look like. It’s the same here, 1 year later, on the latest version 6.4.5.2 - printing doesn’t work. Just updated from 6.4.4.2 and no changes, printing still doesn’t work but the printing file persists in the queue all the time. Any other software prints everything without any problems so it’s nor the Windows problem, nor the settings, or anything else than LibreOffice.
