I can't uncheck size protection for a formula on Impress

I try to uncheck size protection for a formula on Impress, but as I click Ok and I try to resize the formula using my mouse it won’t work. Then I check again the settings, and I discover the size protected is still checked. It looks like unchecking the size protection doesn’t work.

Hello,

but as I click Ok and I try to resize the formula using my mouse it won’t work.

You seem to perform an incorrect sequence:

  • Uncheck option [ ] Size in section Protect and simultaneously (i.e. while still being in the dialog)
  • Change the size manually adding a new value in section Size (change Width: to new value while option [x] Keep ratio is set
  • Then click OK

In other words: You can’t change the size using the green handles. See also tdf#99792 Formula objects display eight handles but none of them can be used for anything

Hope that helps,

You can change a Math formula size only changing font size INSIDE the formula.
Like: size 50 {your_formula}

Or you can use the extension
