I converted a pdf to a docx file but cannot edit the title of an image. All I get is a symbol which does nothing. Spent many hours but striking out. Help if you can please. Hugheen

Well, being repetitive I used a program to convert a pdf to a docx file. The image showed after I used “external edit” from the menu and the title of the image showed. This was fine, took me a long time to get this far. But I cannot edit. I simply want to replace one word in the title. This is for a book I wrote. I get this crystal-like symbol but it does nothing. How can I change this word. Tried edit mode and find and replace, etc. but no luck.

Any help really appreciated I’m way behind schedule on this seemingly simple change.

Couldn’t you just open the pdf in Draw and edit it there? After editing Save As odg or export as pdf with a different name so as not to overwrite original

Please upload your sample file here.

Sorry can’t copy. I get: img1.png and img img2.jpeg and that’s atop a blank letter sized space.

Thanks for interest, Hugh

The jpeg image is probably the background and the png is an image of the title words, probably both at reduced resolution. I assume you converted a copy of the pdf so go back to the pdf.

Thanks for efforts Earnest, still working on it. Couldn’t to try and convert .png
