I can’t figure out how to fix it. I see Page Selection of Statistics or some such, instead of page 4 of 10 (for example).
What you likely see is in fact Page number of Statistics. Help us to help you by accurately reporting what happens, rather than guessing after the fact.
Try changing the setting of View | Field Names - Ctrl+F9
Toggling View | Field Names appears to have fixed the problem.
