I have some text files that for some reason have become .rtf files can I get them back as .odt files?

Six files I created in 2015 as .odt files 4 have now become .rtf files can I get them back as .odt files

Hello

• Start LibreOffice
• File -> Open
• Select the file from the file picker dialog
• File -> Save As
• Select ODF Text Document (.odt) in Filter (extension should change from .rtf to .odt)
• Click Save button
• Repeat this steps for all 4 files.
