I want to print page sized numbers

Help? I’m trying to print 7" tall numbers on an 8.5 x 11 rite in the rain paper using my laser printer for kayak races. Tried it on both the Brother HL-1440 and a Canon MX 860 . The preview looks OK but the output gives me page with 3" tall letters. Using Liberation Serif font at 490 pts.Have tried with Times New Roman. same result.

Is your page size set correctly?

  • Most likely ok, otherwise it would be hard to fit a 490pt character on the page.

Printing set to one page per sheet?

  • More likely cause is that you have set in the print dialog to output multiple pages per sheet of paper. This will usually reduce print size.
