Image button vs push button; Same functions?

It appears that there is a difference between an image button and a push button.
A push button allows ‘Next Record’ but the image button does not, while it can be selected.

No as controls can be on Writer, Calc etc and access data requiring record movement. However, maybe as common

Running LO 7.3.3.2 on 20.04 LTS. Will check previous versions to see what happens.

Don’t see much sense in checking previous versions as the Bug report has been open since 2012. There appears to a work around there also.

Checked out the bug, and the Workaround by Robert Großkopf 2017-01-04 11:14:35 UTC, works in my case for now.

Will keep an eye on the progress of the bug.
Consider this one solved.
