Hello! I really need a quick answer to this questions as a number of my images in my GCSE DT NEA presentation have currently disappeared. All that is left is some red lettering in the centre of a black outline of the image with a thumbnail of an image icon in the top left. I’ve tried saving the document as many different formats and need urgent help. I do not have the images saved elsewhere as they were copied from online. If anyone could help it would be massively appreciated.
Make a copy of your presentation, unzip the .odp
file and inspect folder Pictures
But before you do so: Try starting LibreOffice in **Safe Mode** (`Help -> Restart in Safe Mode`) and check whether your images are shown in safe mode.
The file is not compressed but is saved as a .odp
It is compressed. Any LibreOffice ODF file like .ods
, .odt
and .odp
as well is in fact a ZIP file, which can be extracted using any ZIP tool (my ZIP tool even doesn’t require the files to be renamed to .zip
). You did not specify your operating system, so I cannot tell you anything what you need to do on your system.
