How do you import a tab delimited document into calc?
In the menu click Sheet > Insert sheet, in the dialogue select option button From file. Click Browse button, select .csv file and click Open.
The Text Import dialogue will open.
- select appropriate separator for the file (and string delimiter if needed)
- Tick box Detect special numbers if likely to be needed
- Assign Column Type to those columns that might get confused with another type of data
