On a roll here :-). Another very irritating problem is one of the 7 PowerPoint conversions I’ve done seems to think that the .odp file has changed if I open it. I have extracted the 1st slide that seems to cause the problem and have attached it. Anyone any idea why? (I thought it was the Autoshape, but when those are deleted it still causes a problem)… I might have just cracked it, I thought it was maybe a group within a group as per screenshot. Turns out its the oval6 that’s causing the problem on this slide. If I delete it i can open file without it automatically thinking there has been a change.

The slide opens perfectly normally for me.
so it doesn’t say its changed as soon as you load it?

Choose Toggle Extrusion for Oval 6 (the button is in the toolbar Drawing). Adapt the object shape to cover the green background seen through the headlight.

That worked, thank you. (TBH I hadn’t even noticed the headlights were showing a little green
)
Is there an explanation why toggling this made such a difference?
