[impress] how to create a dynamic internal target for a hyperllink?

I am preparing a presentation with impress and want to shift some slides to an appendix where I can show additional information in case needed. Most probably I won’t show those slides but want to have them at hand in case needed so I put them to the end of the document.

Hyperlinking back and forth should be the tool of choice here I believe.

However, if you add a hyperlink you can only choose a slide x (let’s say slide 12 for this example) as the target. If the sequence of slides changes (which happening constantly while working on a presentation) the static hyperlink is not able to follow but will keep pointing to slide 12 (even though the slide needed is now slide 14 or 15).

so my question is … how can I create a target which is unique and will be found by a hyperlink independent of the slide # it is living on?

You may use an object name as hyperlink target (use #object_name URL syntax - i.e., only the fragment URL part).

that sounds fair. However I seem not to be able to pin a name to i.e. a Text field.
The link you have provided for the object_name says:

Open the context menu for the object - choose Name

when I leftclick on the Textframe I get a lot of things to access … none of them being “name” though unfortunately. Can you specify how to name an object (assuming a text field qualifies as an ‘object’)?

In [writer] I learned about Bookmarks being a way to target a certain point in the document. But it seems Bookmarks do not exist in [impress].

On the phone now, so only can suggest to check normal menu instead of context menu. Format menu looks promising. But indeed, text fields (boxes?) may be not named objects…
