Hi!
Been trying to create a small signage system on a RPi 4 (4GB RAM) and a Raspbian Bookworm Standard Install (e.g. LibreOffice 4.7.4.7-1). All filetypes work with their respective programs (*.mp4 play smooth with vlc, PDF are displayed with okular and so on). But if I start a ppsx-file (with timed transitions on each sheet and looping set), the plaback is extreme sluggish and I have to press the mousebutton constantly to even make a full transition to the next sheet.
BUT: if I save the exact same file as .pptx, load it again (with doubleclick from file manager) in impress and start the slideshow manually with F5, the animations, sound & transitions work as expected. What’s the difference in impress when starting one of these two filetypes. Why is the slideshow working with one but not the other?
I need to start the slideshow automatically and run smoothly, because the signage system doesn’t have any input devices…
Regards
