Every time I save my work in Calc project, a subtitles are added to all of my charts. But I even do not have any subtitle for the diagrams in general. At some point the strings “sub-title” become so many that it is not possible to see the diagram.

I am having the same problem as asked here. I have just started to look for a solution and found this post. As the filed bug has been marked as invalid with no further instructions, I was wondering if you have been able to find out the solution.

If Calc is adding a new subtitle each time you save, that sounds like a bug…a very weird bug!
Please file a bug about this problem. The QA team will be happy to help you track down this issue!

I am using a chart in calc almost everday and never observed such behavior in Version 3.6.6.2 (Build ID: f969faf) on XP Prof/SP3
One work-around is to explicitly Insert some text for a subtitle so that it appears on the chart, then select/delete the subtitle. This resolves the errant “subtitle” string appearing on copied/exported images of the chart.
