In Writer, how do I get the grid lines to easily match the font baselines in my document?

I’m doing some limited page layout with frame boxes on an 8.5 x 11" page in Writer. The page contains lots of type in the font Century Schoolbook at 10.5 point size, with default spacing between the text lines. I want to easily setup the page grid so that the frame items snap to the grid in a way that the bottom of the frame box is aligned with the baseline of the text at the bottom, and the top of the frame box aligns several lines away with the top of the text of another line.

I have single line-spacing set, and active page line-spacing enabled in the Paragraph style. There is no additional spacing above or below the paragraphs. Text-to-text alignment is “Automatic.”

Is there a way to get the grid to lock to the text baselines to do that, or is it just trial and error using the grid-line adjustments?

(As an aside, my question would also apply to snapping other types of items, such as a text box or framed image, or table or graph. These things typically are also used in the limited type of page layout that Word or LO should be capable of handling).

Thanks.

As per ajlittoz’s request:
Mac OS 14.4 ; LO v 24.2.1.2 (X86_64) Format saved: .odt

Test for LibreOffice.odt (193.1 KB)

Edit your question (don’t use comment) to mention OS name, LO version (full 4 numbers) and save format.
Attach an example file (1-page max).
Instinctively, I’d say it is not possible to align automatically baselines in main text and frames but I want to experiment with registration feature (it changed name when 7.x was released).
