in Writer - how to suppress: "Error reading data from the Internet. Server error message: 403 FORBIDDEN."

I have a Writer document that is filled with web pages that I copy-pasted from the Internet. Apparently there are a lot of live links of some kind in the pasted data, because every time I navigate around the document, I get lots of popups with this error: “Error reading data from the Internet. Server error message: 403 FORBIDDEN.”

The thing is: I don’t want any more data pulled from the Internet by any nested/hidden links in the pages I copy-pasted into the document. I just want to read the document exactly as it stands now. Can I tell Writer to stop trying to resolve these links – and trying to pull more data from the Internet?

I experienced the same issue with Calc.

You should break existing links. To do that, use Edit → Links.

The error appears when doing just that. When clicking “OK” it reappears in an seemingly infinite loop.
