I am able to select a jpg image from a file that I want to insert in my Writer. I click on file name, select graphics and then click Open. In my document a “frame” appears , containing the text “Image1”.
I would expect to see a “picture” rather than a frame place holder. How do I tell writer to open the frame and display the picture contents?
Look if in the menu Tools>Options>LibreOfficeWriter>View a check mark is set at “Display|Images and objects”.
View - Images and Charts will also work. Note that clicking on that will turn display of images and charts on or off.
