Inserting an image by use of a formula

Hi all, I’m going to attempt and describe what I am trying to do and hopefully someone has an answer for me.

So I have 3 different images in the folder where my calc spreadsheet is. saved Lets call them 1.jpg, 2.jpg and 3…jpg.

What I am trying to do is put a formula in cell A1 that kind of says that if cell b2=1 then in cell A1 display image 1.jpg or if 2 display 2.jpg etc.

I can get it to display alternate text but not an image file. I’m not great at spreadsheets so maybe thru a formula is impossible but is there anyway that this could be accomplished? Your input is appreciated.

Nothing --absolutely nothing-- qualifies a spreadsheet for this. A spreadsheet is an arithmetic calculator. Any pictures are decoration or illustration.
