All the info I’m seeing on installation tells me to look for *.deb files and the download archive has .rpm files in it.
Granted I’m a Linux Nooobie, and an over all tech-tard, but where do I go from here.

It looks like the download page, link text tries to guess which version to serve. On my Debian system I got a DEB file, on Windows 7, a MSI file.
There is a not-very-prominent link on the download page to “Change system, version or language” that gave me options for Windows, Mac, linux (deb or rpm).
