Installation fail - Error 1324 Path contains invalid character

After a HDD fail, I have installed a new SSD M.2 disc and am reinstalling software.

Trying to reinstall Libre office, I get a warning “Error 1324 - The Path Win11 2021 contains an invalid character”. This was the old directory on the failed disc. That is the old path to my programmes.

I have used Regedit to remove all references to Libra Office. After searching on line I have used “Install as Administrator” with the same fail. I have tried to install using a command line, also I get the same result.

I have searched the registry to try and find where there is a problem but cannot find any, even using programmes like CClean.

How can I reinstall Libra office?

There would be also the profile of LibreOffice below %APPDATA%

But it seems you re-use your OS-install. Can work, but I prefere a complete install for the OS. (Is also a good test, if disaster recovery would work…)

Thank you. I have removed all references to LibreOffice. Then realised there were also TheDocumentFoundation entries, so removed those as well. Now loaded, so thank you!

Yes, on reflection I should have done a clean install, but i thought it would be quicker to install from backup! You live and learn!!

and for the record … :expressionless:
Libre Office won't install. Keep getting msg: "Error 1324. Path Libre Office contains an invalid character"
