Hi,
I’m sorry for this trivial question, however I read documentation but didn’t found explicit information.
Is it possible to install librefoffice on a MS surface pro 3 tablet?
Thank you for your time and answer
Phil
As I remember the Surface had a regular Windows and an Intel-processor. So no problems expected.
.
Checked: Intel® Core™ i3, i5 oder i7 der 4. Generation and Win8.1 or Win10 Pro according to MS.
.
But you will need a keyboard…
Hi Wanderer,
First thank you for your answer.
Right: pro 4 has:
- Intel® Core™ m3, i5 or i7 6th genereation
- Windows 10 Pro
about keyboard, even if it is not the best for a long document, there is a “virtual” keyboard, so if libreoffice handles it, it should be good right?
Thank you
Best regards
Usually this is a setup in the OS, so LibreOffice will see no difference. But I would expect the keyboard to hidd part of my window. So maybe you have to reszie windows to see where you type.
Windows 10 has two virtual keyboards, the Touch keyboard which has some limitations and the “On Screen Keyboard” which has similar functionality to a normal keyboard. Use the Windows 10 search by start menu.
Or buy a bluetooth keyboard.
You can always try out the portable version if you don’t want to to install
