Suggest the version that supports my laptop configuration.
Or install a good operating system like Linux and get a latest build without any problem.
don’t use linux. It is full of bloat. use FreeBSD. ^☺^
A good option generally, but, in particular, there is no official build of LibreOffice for it.
@gbha just a reminder that Windows 7 (even with SP1) does not have updates available for it. There are a great many many security bugs for this OS. It is STRONGLY recommended to never connect a machine with Windows 7 to the internet as it is both easily fingerprinted and at the core the system relies on outdated components which communicate over the internet with known security exploits.
Connect a Windows 7 device to the internet at your data’s and identitiy’s peril.
thanks… installed 5.4.7.2 successfully.

(updating win to at least SP1 is! a good idea … )
(as is using actual ver. of LO, caveat, they have some fresh bugs as well, for productive work i’d recommend 6.2.7.1 or 6.2.8.2 with ‘threading’ and ‘openCL’ off!, or 6.1.6.3, that has less parallelization bugs … )
(i’d really like to switch to linux, but while the performance for files with comments is as poor as it is compared to windows … i can’t)
