KDE Neon’s Discover doesn’t offer LibreOffice Help, so I’m trying to install it using LibreOffice_7.3.0_Linux_x86-64_deb_helppack_en-US.tar.
I know how to extract a tar, but I end up with a directory LibreOffice_7.3.0.3_Linux_x86-64_deb_helppack_en-US/DEBS
with a file named libobasis7.3-en-us-help_7.3.0.3-3_amd64.
I don’t know what to do with this file.
Perhaps my tar extract was wrong?
From a command prompt in home/Downloads, I executed tar -xf LibreOffice_7.3.0_Linux_x86-64_deb_helppack_en-US.tar.
It’s been forty years since I extracted a tarball.
Thanks. I had installed libreoffice on KDS Neon using Discover, which offered a Flatpak. The flatpak didn’t include libobasis, which is a dependency the help pak requires.
I uninstalled the flatpak and installed libreoffice and the help pak from tarballs.
