I am a new user on iPad mini (v.17.6.1). I believe I have downloaded LibreOffice, but cannot open a file sent to me by a friend. What’s up? Please assist. Can I actually use libreoffice on iPad? And, yes, I did try the “OS” version.
OS is only “Operating-System” and includes MacOS, Linux, WindOwS among others.
While Android and iOS are also Operating Systems their concepts are quite different from the 3 I named above. So porting to them can not be done directly/easily. I tested some on Android, but result was not to good.

So the main recommendation is to use a Web-based service (with a keyboard) or download a viewer, without all the bells and whistles, so you can read, but not edit/modify.
