Is it legal to support MS Office extensions?

Hello.

I have been thinking about support for MS Office extensions (.doc, .docx …), especially since LibreOffice can be used for business. Is it legal?

If someone on the team could respond, I’d appreciate it.

It is no reverse engineering but conversion, so it is legal. - Cheers
